Toast of Ohio Wine Festival Returns June 8th, 2024

SANDUSKY, OHIO --- Celebrating nineteen years, the annual Toast of Ohio Wine Heritage Festival will take place on Saturday, June 8th, in downtown Sandusky, located at the Jackson Street Pier! The festival will feature nine fabulous Ohio wineries, food truck options, and the Sandusky Art League, displaying and selling their crafts. The festival grounds are open Saturday from noon - 9 pm.

The first 400 tickets sold includes a souvenir Toast of Ohio wine glass, admission to the event and five complimentary wine tastings for only $25. Wine tasting tickets and admission but not including the souvenir glass are available for $20.00. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event.

Participating wineries include Firelands Winery, Maize Valley Winery, Humble Bee Vineyards, VooDoo Wines, D & D Smith Winery, Chateau Tebeau, Vermilion Valley, Matus Winery and Carso Rosso Winery.

Delicious food selections will be offered by: GessWho Tacos, Gram’s Goodies, and The Groucho & Gringa Food Truck.

The Merry-Go-Round Museum will offer special admission of $5 during the festival from 11-4pm. Admission fees benefit the sponsoring Merry-Go-Round Museum and the Merry-Go-Round Museum education department. More information can be obtained by calling the museum at 419-626-6111.

The Lake Erie Shores & Islands region once featured huge vineyards that spread from east of Sandusky to the western region near the bay because of the lakeshore climate. The Toast of Ohio event was developed to celebrate the area’s winemaking heritage. Today, dozens of wineries still operate in the region. Make a weekend of it with lodging packages available at SHORESandISLANDS.com and tour the area’s wineries. Call 1.800.255.3743 for information
